PROJECTS

Food-X_new_logo.png

Food-X provides end-to-end e-Grocery fulfillment solutions.

Providing integration solution for e-commerce orders

Walmart Canada partnered with Food-X to provide online grocery fulfillment services in Metro Vancouver.

Working closely with both Food-X and Walmart stakeholders, I2I analyzed, designed, and deployed an integration solution that allowed Food-X to receive inventory from the Walmart supply chain and deliver groceries for Walmart.ca shoppers. The integrations that were developed include pulling order data from Walmart, providing shipment and delivery confirmations, and sending inventory updates back to Walmart. All of this was accomplished using Microsoft Azure cloud technology including Service Bus, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.

Lush is a manufacturer and retailer of fresh handmade cosmetics with over 250 stores across North America.

Improving customer experience and store efficiency

Lush stores utilize a custom-built iOS mobile point of sale application which integrates with the Dynamics AX Retail Server. The mobile POS is crucial to improving Lush’s overall customer experience and for providing additional capacity during periods of high volume. Insight 2 IMPACT was urgently brought in to rectify performance and reliability issues before the busy holiday season. I2I performed a thorough analysis of the systems and processes involved and implemented an elegant and timely fix - thus enabling stores to operate efficiently during holiday, and without downtime due to ERP maintenance schedules.

Expanding omni channel capabilities

Lush wanted to enable store associates to easily place an order for a product that was out of stock in the store and deliver it to the customer’s home. They wanted this feature to be implemented within their existing Dynamics AX EPOS system. Insight 2 IMPACT was brought in for their extensive retail experience and deep understanding of the Dynamics AX retail ecosystem. After performing a thorough analysis, I2I recommended to customize the out of the box Customer Order feature to reduce development time and cost. The feature was streamlined and automated to enable the cashier to perform the function with as few clicks as possible.  The enhancement was rolled out to Lush’s 250 stores across North America, again in time for the busy holiday season.

SPUD.ca is an online grocer focusing on providing food that is sustainable and organic.  SPUD operates in four cities in Canada.

Keeping the ERP implementation on track

SPUD had been operating on a legacy ERP system and a myriad of internally developed applications.  Insight 2 IMPACT led SPUD through an ERP selection process evaluating most leading packages on the market.  SPUD chose Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and retained I2I as trusted advisors to complement a large global MS Dynamics implementation partner. As the large partner experienced significant consultant turnover, the project timelines and quality began to suffer.  I2I recognized that the deliverables and proposals during the planning phase did not meet expected standards, so we assumed greater leadership of the functional and technical delivery of the project.  Despite these early setbacks, the project successfully went live several months later.  Insight 2 IMPACT's experience and expertise allowed SPUD to recognize challenges quickly, take corrective action, and avert failure.
